I'd suggest a broader panel on revisiting the past: Galactica and Doctor Who just got remade, Enterprise as the last (to date) iteration of the Trek saga. I'm sure there are more examples. Why do we go back? What changes? Commercial considerations, creative decisions, and so on.

You could also broaden it to allow the direct comparisons to lead into a wider comparison of contemporary television vs the TV of our youth.
