Technology is your friend...

...unfortunately, it friggin' hates me!

You know how I said don't email, if it's important, ring? Well, don't ring my mobile, which for the last day has only found a signal once. Given I haven't been anywhere, and that I'm at home, this is rather annoying. No SMSes, no calls coming or going. Don't bother trying until I give you an update.

Oh, and this is my new phone, which I haven't gotten to writing about because of my computer issues. That's the computer that looks like it is going to have to be sent away for a week to get fixed. I'm 75% sure it's a hardware problem.

And my car is making a noise.

And our TV is slowly dying.

I'm off to live in a cave somewhere.

Cheers,
Danny

PS - I think the DVD player has been bad-mouthing me again...

It is my enemy as well. It's why I prefer driving an old car like my 1969 Camaro. I had to replace my computer in my Pontiac Grand Prix and even the Grand Am I owned before and while I followed procedure to the letter.... the info on the computer was wiped CLEAN every time I did it. Yet, watching the mechanic do it identically as I did... it worked.

Oh well, TV's are pretty cheap now, provided you stick with the Cathode Ray Tube as the flat screens are expensive rubbish.

Oh, I told a friend who has similar chronic health problems to you about your recent diagnosis. He'd like to see your Doc but as he's in Canberra that aint feasible, is there anyone in Melb that you think would be worth seeing?

So you finally killed your phone nearly-100%-dead?

I was working on my stand up show the other day and when I wen to edit a sound file on my housemate's computer I managed to somehow fry his onboard sound card, and then when I was completing some files on my computer about 10 minutes before I really had to leave to start setting up the stage I somehow killed my keyboard.
I'm dreading to think what plague I'll rain down on the computer system when I go back to work tomorrow.

(It turned out that the sound card had just turned itself off, but I had to buy a new keyboard for my 'puter.)
