I vote for keeping it, but helpful advice aside, I think this one is really a call only you can make. I know how much it means to you, but I think there's a danger of putting so much into keeping it (not just money) that the thought of the car becomes a burden rather than a blessing, and that's worse than giving it up by choice, IMO. Still, you do need something to *drive*, and if it's at all do-able, you should be driving the Belmont. Maybe cultivate some new petrol-head mates, and see how much of the needed work can be arranged on the cheap?
