I very much have to agree here - although I can imagine that there would be benefits to a larger convention, I like the size of SwanCon as it is. I would like to be able to identify people who are looking for someone to talk to*, but being new to fandom is neither a necessary or a sufficient condition for this - more organised mingling would be good (which I have already talked with the programmer for 2009).

* someone who as been around for a few years commented that they felt like they were on the outer this year. And yet, the few times I saw them, they were in a crowd of people. So, not easy to identify who would like more people to talk to!
