Filming pics - The Snuff Machine
A dark, nasty little script by David Jackson, who worked as Assistant Director to Tom Kinsman on Burley. Apparently he thought I'd be good in the role of the bartender in The Snuff Machine but had already cast somebody else. Fortunately for me, winged blue monkeys kidnapped the other guy and David asked me if I'd like to do it. So I turned up to The Soak on Tuesday for filming.

Lucy Rose did the make-up. She's stylish and even makes her make-up utility belt thingy look swish! We chatted a bit about some of the work she had to do, including cutting off fingers. I've noticed a trend, on set I tend to hang enjoy the company of the make-up artists quite a bit. This is probably because I spent years wanting to do make-up (mainly special effects stuff) when I was younger.

Lucy also had on a really cool pair of earrings. I particularly like the little Mona Lisa.

Director David "Davey Crockett" Jackson dealing with the pressures of leadership, while his A.D. Bill Irving tries desperately to stay inside the lines on his colouring book. Thing, from the Addams Family, makes a guest appearance.

The bar. I just like the lighting. Actually, I like a lot of the lighting around these scenes. Lucas Testro did a good job.

"And my son's a bartender! If my Dad were alive, he'd be so proud!

Yours truly as the obnoxious bartender. But you just know this guy goes home with a different totally wasted girl every night... coz none of them would come back for seconds...

Simon J Green as Michael Findlay. His character meets this obnoxious bartender and falls in love... No wait, that's the sequel.

In the Soak, watching the set-up. Could use some names here, only one I know is Lucy on the far right.

Little bit blurry, but I love the lighting on this shot of Simon.

"No, Simon, you're an actor. We're meant to film you!"

David discusses some upcoming scenes with Tara Catmull who plays 'The Girl', as Lucy wonders when the bar will open.

Tristan Jones (I found his name!) did the sound on this one after doing Art Dept/Technical Assistant stuff on Burley. Tara plays a character that you really don't want to upset.

Lucy, Lucas and David watch a rehearsal.

Lucy and another young lady watch the set-up. I wasn't stalking you Lucy, honestly... Though if you ask nicely, I could be persuaded...

Tom gets ready to shoot.

My favourite shot of the bunch. Tara waiting between takes.
