Madness
Between...
- buying Sharon a car
- buying a house in Cooma
- and dealing with all the legalities with that
- and trying to organise things for the house
- various wonderful and welcome guests spread over June/July
- trying to pack and sort a house full of stuff, using Strokeboy™, Preggo Girl™, Ancient Lady™, and Mini Me™ (Trademark belongs to someone else... shhhh....), which is, to be honest, glacial in its speed
- Lex's epic, ongoing teething with his last four rear teeth
- and his recent penchant for waking at 6am with a pooey nappy
- and him not sleeping for the rest of the day, even though he's tired and cranky
- me taking Lex and mum out when I'm already tired, to give Sharon a break, leaving me even more tired
- me being a good month behind on replies and emails (I am getting through them slowly, but if it's important, don't email or SMS, ring!)
- trying to get ready for the WorldCon trip to Melbourne (I've yet to actually put my name in for panels, which is crazy)
- preparations for bub number 2
- and assorted other things causing delays
...we should be able to start watching our new box set of The West Wing (a present to ourselves for our 12th Wedding Anniversary) sometime in 2011.
Looking forward to it.

I'll find you some panels for Worldcon :)

Realistically, between looking after a baby and a toddler, one a day, with maybe a couple of extra evening (post 8pm) ones. Or you can reverse that, a couple during the days and give me something to do in the evenings.
Normally I'd volunteer for all the First Convention panels, but don't want that to be the only stuff I'm on :)

And I know how you feel about the craziness of it all, although at least I'm not moving house this time (moving house twice last time was quite enouh thanks.) I empathise with 6am starts. the young master usually starts about 6am or even 5:30. I persist in staying in bed, telling him that it's dark and he should go back to sleep - yeah, like that's going to work. At least he is good about getting his bottle of milk out of the fridge which keeps him occupied for a bit (it's all the other things he gets out and sets up for 'breakfast' which amuse me.)

More specifically, what order are you expecting the events
"moving"
"birth"
"Worldcon"
to actually occur in? Isn't this bub a likely September one?
We have booked a hotel room at the Hotel Enterprise across from Southern Cross Station, and should be able to manage the occasional "play with Lex for an hour" bit either there or at the con to give you and Sharon more of a break.

birth (She's due around the 28th July, give or take)
bits and pieces of non-essential stuff being moved, giving us sorting space here, and allowing me to do or arrange to be done a few minor jobs at new digs
Worldcon
bit more minor shifting of stuff
The movers for the heavy stuff
So should be there late Sept or early October.
Mum is paying for two months rent so that we don't move before Worldcon then leave her in a new town while heading to Melbourne for two weeks, making it a comparatively leisurely shift.
