Lock up your daughters!

Yes, I am now officially living in the nation's capital. Did the two day drive up the coast, feel totally wrecked but happy.

Will be quiet as I recover and work at unpacking and sorting stuff, plus slowly starting to know my new hometown. There will be a housewarming in a few weeks, but of course anyone wishing to pay a visit before then would be more than welcome.

I will limit my going out in the short term so that I can concentrate my energy on the unpacking and such.

Cheers,
Danny

Yes, you certainly did the two day drive up the coast. Every last kilometre of it.

"Danny, maybe you should let me drive for a while."
(Danny clutches the steering wheel tighter) "Oh, I'm feeling OK, I'll just do this next little bit and see how I go."

You are insane, and stubborn, and gorgeous. Canberra deserves you, it just doesn't know what it's been given yet.

You didn't consider the gentle application of percussive maintenance as a persuader? Or even stealing the car keys on the second day?

I thought about a number of persuasive methods, but he was so delighted at being able to drive his car I didn't have the heart to take it off him even for a minute unless he was definitely and absolutely too-badly-off to drive.

I think that stealing the car keys off him would have been funny. He can't run, but my dicky hand won't let me grab. So it would have been a great chase scene - me trying to trip him up in all kinds of inventive ways that would cause the keys to come flying out onto the ground where I could get them.

Fair enough. Besides whilst Danny was enjoying the driving you got to enjoy the scenery so it was a win all around. :)

That's assuming that there is some decent scenery between Melbourne and Canberra (plenty between Adelaide and Melbourne but thats kind of in the wrong direction).

Oh, there was plenty of good scenery! The coast route is beautiful. I'll be writing it up over the next day or two.

Good Scenery

Looking forward to it. Dare I hope for photos?
