That's why I grew the beard. I hate how spiky I get and I wanted to see if letting it grow would be kinder to my partners. Then I became curious as to how bushy and feral I could become :)

I don't have much that I bother getting vain about because I don't feel attractive, so what's the point? Anything that makes me feel desired, even in a little way, is nice. When I can be bothered with them, I wear a particular style of underpant for that reason - there are women who think I look good in them. It's a nice change for me to feel attractive in any way.

All that said, at the end of the day, I'll do what I want, but it's interesting watching the effect people can have on that. And it's nice to occasionally feel like it's worth my effort to be just a little vain about my appearance.
