Kylie Who?

Watched the Kylie concert tonight, broadcast on the ABC. In one show, between her 8 costume changes and all the varied costumes on her dancers, a single person would get enough cotume ideas for 30 decades of Mardi Gras.

My fav outfit for Kylie was the leopard spot catsuit, with the red boxing gloves. Plays on the whole Aunty Jack fetish *grin*

And I had quite forgotten about, but was delighted when I saw, the Cyberman-style costumes on her dancers. Her costume designer is a big Doctor Who fan, she said in an interview. And in case there was any doubt, there was what looked like a Gelth on a screen in the background, and we were treated to the Tardis sound effect twice.

My chum Rod taped it, he thought Alexandra Tynan aka Sandra Reid should have got a royalty for it.

On the Cybersubject, did you guys see the Twood ep "Cyberwoman"? I thought that & the one with Gareth Thomas in it were way better that the first couple I saw, I think I could be a fan of it after all. I met some bona fide Torchwood fans (Twoodfen?) at the last S'Wars meeting, real "this shits on new Dr Who" types, you have been warned!

Alexandra Tynan is such a wonderful lady. I haven't seen her in years, the last time was when we had lunch together. She utterly rocks!

First Torchwood Ep, okay for a pilot
Second Ep, crap
Third Ep, good idea, poorly and obviously executed.
Fourth Ep, bloody stupid and should have been much later in the season.

The original series of Kung Fu, George Reeves Superman, Alien Nation, Captain Scarlet, and especially Supernatural are vastly superior to Torchwood.

Space 1999 season 1 is more boring, but makes more sense.

Normally I don't make blanket statements on things like that, and I make sure to say that it's only my opinion, and I don't mind if other people like it... But none of that counts for Torchwood season 1.
