Sleep and orgasms
So, I went to bed before 9:30 tonight because I was exhausted and had to be up early in the morning to go to Canberra Fertility. I fell asleep wonderfully quickly, only to awake at 11 because I was too hot. I've been awake since. *grumble*
When donating semen they prefer two to three days without an ejaculation. Saturday morning was my last, my next will be in approximately seven hours - with a few repeats through the day most likely. Normally when needing sleep I'd indulge in a little onastic distraction, with the hope that the relaxation post-climax would allow sweet slumber to enshroud me, blah, blah, blah. Doesn't always help, but even if it doesn't, it's a nice diversion from merely lying there getting annoyed at not sleeping.
However a wank is not really an option. So instead, after feeling too hot for a couple of hours, I've gotten up in the hope that my side of the bed will cool down enough to allow me to sleep when I get back. Or that actually getting out of bed for a little while will render me tired enough to drop off.
Before getting out of bed however, my thoughts had moved naturally from my own situation to my curiosity about the orgasmic frequency within the community of people who read this journal. Now I'd already done a poll on this a while back. But given that I have recently had to be more aware of when I last orgasmed, I decided to ask when other folks had last come off.
And since people occasionally express disappointment at the amount of anonymity I allow in polls, this one will have answers viewable to friends (this means people on my friends list will be able to see how you answered), and comments will be viewable to everyone. We're all adults here, and if you're too shy to share the date of your last climax, there's an option to say that.
