Filming pics - Dudes of Doom Pt 2
These pics are from my second night on set. There's a lot of them below the cut, so be prepared.

The man who will be forever known to me as Peter the Zombie, the gorgeous Jane and the lovely Nerida, two of our make-up folks.

Christian, our enigmatic Writer/Director, on set for my second day. He had a pretty good idea of what he wanted to get onscreen. Hope it all worked out.

Peter, now in zombie make-up.

"I have come to clean the pool..." Me as the Mad Prophet. This is my "70's Porn-Star Danny" look.

"Hi! I'm Prophet Spanky! Now, if only I had a sacrifice..."

"Ah, here's one!" This is Nadine Rimmele as a victim of the Prophet. It was freezing, but she was fantastic. She'd joke that that cold just helped her act more scared, since she'd shake like mad as soon as we took her blankets away. The previous night I had been running around a cemetary in shorts and a singlet, so I knew how she felt.

How could I not get a photo of this? How many times am I likely to have a beautiful German woman tied up and helpless?
"When I built the daleks in Lightwave I made sure to..."
"Please, just kill me!"

All I need now is an army of zombies to do my bidding..." We had a lot of no-shows on the day, for our zombie hordes. It took a lot of desperate phone calls to get us to twelve.

The Prophet surrounded by his zombies. I asked Christian if I could have the jacket when we finished, he said yes but that it would be covered in blood. I was luckier than some...

Peter at the end of the shoot. How do you get stains out of zombie?

The Swedish Zombie contingent. The girls were (from memory) Anna and Lalla. They also did make-up. Angela was also on set, but requested I not take her photo, hence the apology for her appearance in the previous post. Ang made the blood out of chocolate sauce and red food colouring...

And it was delicious! This shot got started because I was licking the blood off the knife, then someone (it may have even been Nadine, I don't think it was me) suggested I pose like this for the pic.
At around 2:30 in the morning, we were finished. But not the crew. They had to hang back for goodness knows how long to clean up the blood, since the venue was being used for a wedding the next day. Special big thanks to Christian for bringing us all together. Laura, James, and the rest of the crew, who all looked after us, and a special big thank you to Angela's Mum, for her very kind words to me at the end of the shoot.
Even if she did make me go all shy, the bugger!
This film was a little different. There were more problems than with the others, simply because of its size and complexity, but I came away from this one with a bunch of people that I want to catch up with socially.
David who played the Devil, I only saw him during rehearsals, but he's a dude. Jane, who did my make-up, was a real sweetheart, the sort of person I have to stop myself from spontaneously hugging. Angela was great too, as were the rest of the make-up team. I'd be really happy to work with any of them again. Colin and Peter are both dudes! Alan is one of those guys you can't help but like. Nadine was great to work with, she and I hit it off right from the start and only stopped chatting when tiredness overcame us both.
I want to hear from all of you, ok?
Cheers,
Danny
