Pictures of the kids

As mentioned, lots of folks are having a bad time at the mo', hell, I've spent a chunk of the day in bed wishing I could sleep and being generally down and uncommunicative.

So for those of you who are cheered by such things, I present photos of the kids.

Alpacas are bigger than frogs. And you've got some very good pictures in there. I see Lex hasn't lost his love for the camera.

He's a photogenic little bugger.

Even perky, who's normally immune (mostly) to kidlets, looked at the last pic and went, "Such big eyes!".
*loves*

The photo on the sheepskin is awesome and amazing! And I love MaybeZoe's expression in the photo where Lex is holding her on his lap. She just doesn't look like she's impressed somehow. :-)

I was thinking exactly the same thing. :) Big brother is getting started on teasing his little sister, and I get the impression that she's thinking, "Oh, great, here we go, a lifetime of torment awaits ..."

I thought she was thinking "Just wait until I'm older, boyo, and we'll find out who's boss."

The expression on MaybeZoe's face is, 'I'm peeing on this rug... Now!'

awwwww :)

Is that a hammock type bed? How do you find it? Is it portable or does it have to stay in the same spot?

[identity profile] dalekboy.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
It is an Amby Baby hammock. Shaz did lots of research and found that these had the best rep. She contacted the maker over the couple of incidents that had happened - all were in the US, all were times when the people using them had done the wrong thing i.e. placing it in a laundry, putting it together with incomplete parts, etc. There's been no issues in any other country.

I gave you all that preamble, because we love it, and would happily recommend it. It is portable, comes with a carry bag, and isn't too bad to put together once you've done it a couple of times. It weighs a bit, but not more than most portable cots.

We thought MaybeZoe's early nights and solid sleeping were down to her being an easier bub, but while she is an easier bub, Shaz found that a few nights without the hammock meant that bub didn't get to sleep until much later.

One of the joys of the Amby Baby is that you can put the bub in there, rock and bounce her as much as she needs without having to hold her weight, and when she drops off to sleep, she's already in bed and doesn't have to be moved.

Sharon sits on the bed, rocking and bouncing her with one hand, and surfing the net on the laptop with the other :)

Alpacas. Similar, but not quite the same.

Yay photos! I still haven't got my act together about putting my own photos online, but today I found a delightful photo of an owl on the megainterwebs.

"Ah! And here we have the rare Lex variety of reindeer. See the bright red and slightly foam-esque nose, a sure identifier of the species."
*ahem*
gorgeous photos of the kidlets, Danny! Lex is getting all curly like his Dad!

I just spent all day with dad yesterday. I'm tried doctors never they can do, just let nature take its course- Dad might have few days or week or months or few years because of his strong organs-Just wish it end for him.
look after your self, just watch your kids grow into great people.
