Not once you start using them they don't! Within a wash or two, they're all slightly different shades of dark grey, and and frequently different lengths. They don't take long to differentiate into left socks and right socks either.
So much harder to match in to pairs than deliberately different socks.
(OK, so I don't actually match my white sports socks into pairs. Or at least, not any more..)
