* Today I get three wisdom teeth out!

* My teeth tend to lock into my jaw with curved and hooked tooth... thingys. So for one, they actually have to saw away a small part of my jawbone!

* Weirdly, I'm not nervous at all. I honestly expected to be. Read more... )
Well, I've gone and put myself up on eBay!

Would have preferred a funnier write-up, but I didn't have a lot of time. Wanted it to finish with plenty of time to figure out the details, assuming anyone takes me up on it. Also, given the nature of the thing, and that people would be allowing a stranger into their homes, I thought something not too silly would be a good idea. I wanted to put it up under services, but for that you have to quote a firm figure. If someone can figure a better category than Personalised Gifts, that will let me do the auction format, would love to hear it.

Feel free to spread the word, too. On one hand I'm hoping some nice family will get me for the cost of petrol money. On the other, if bidding went insane, that'd be kind of nice. First pref though is cover my costs and give some kids a great surprise.

I Santa-ed for one particular family for a few years, and loved doing it, so I'm half hoping to be able to again. As it is, I contacted my friend Glenn and told him my beard was gone in preparation for tomorrow, so I would be able to pay a visit in costume to his kids at Christmas. Looking forward to that.

I've had a busy week or so, so haven't been here to remind people of this stuff until today. Check out my previous post for details of some DVDs I have for sale or can be ordered.

I originally set today as the end date for orders, but given I've had a fair amount of interest, am happy to take orders until Sunday. Will be placing orders with Roadshow Monday.

Also, it must be mentioned that no-one has grabbed the Twilight Zone DVDs yet! I am rather surprised by this, but maybe folks already have them or just don't have the cash. Either way, both are still in their original wrapping and are still available if you want a taster for the series.

- The highly erotic/sadistic piece of the dream sequence in the 1941 version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde starring Spencer Tracy. Otherwise, the film was mostly average, though Tracy's performance was good, and there was an interesting variation on the multiple fade change near the end. They superimposed his eyes separately so while the rest of the shot had the normal fade issues, his eyes remained mostly static.
Quite clever, as we tend to look at the eyes.

- Lex slept last night from 9pm until 9:30 this morning. Generally five to six hours is a really good night!

- Finding the original computer game Fallout for $15.

- I did a stocktake, and discovered I have $11,000 (retail) of Doctor Who toys and DVDs to sell. Given that chunk of my stuff is imported, and I don't charge huge mark-ups, that's kind of amazing. That doesn't count the couple of things I have to send to people where it's been delayed due to baby/house-cleaning/health issues.
Before the stocktake, I thought I probably had about $5K in stock. There's another twelve hundred worth of other DVDs and toys.
It's been a mad couple of days, but I'm just squeezing this in before I have to run out the door.

I should have a couple of boxes of the Classic DW figures in next week, and according to Stan, my warehouse guru, I can definitely get more.

There are 8 figures in the first wave. They are -

- D84 with Anti Robot Transmitter
- SV7 with Robot Hand
- Zygon
- Colin Baker The Sixth Doctor with Sonic Lance
- Tom Baker The Fourth Doctor with 2nd Head and Sonic Screwdriver
- Peter Davison The Fifth Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver
- Magnus Greel with 2nd Head & Mr Sin
- Sea Devil with Heat Ray

Each figure comes with a part of the giant K1 robot, so if you collect all 8, you effectively get the K1 for free!

At this point, I should be charging $20 per figure, or $150 if you want all 8. The sooner you let me know what you'd like, the more likely I'll be able to fill your order. I have no idea how many of each Doctor will be in the boxes, there may only be one of each. That may limit availability, as it's no good leaving myself with lots of other non-selling figures while filling only orders for Doctors. Once I have numbers, I can put in a solid order and let people know what I can provide.

You can place orders with me through here or via email on - dannydoz at netspace dot net dot au

So get in fast, and I'll give you an update next week!
I'm about to put in an order to Roadshow, but before I do, there's a couple of specials that some of you may be interested in. Read more... )
I was just putting up some stuff on eBay. In amongst the items, I have a Natural Ood and Ood Sigma from Planet of the Ood. And I noticed that they both have different head sculpts. So I went off and checked, and yes, the Series 2 Ood figure also has a different head.

Compare and contrast with the Dapol Timelord figures, and this is why I love Character Options. They are crazy and dedicated enough to producing a good product that they go to this much trouble on a figure where using the one head on all three would do.

If any more of you wish to take advantage of the cheaper Doctor Who DVDs I need your orders by noon on Wednesday 30th. That is all :)

Roadshow is having reduced prices on most of its older Doctor Who stock! It's very, very rare that they do this, so make the most of it!

I can do any of the titles below the cut for $22.50 each, plus postage. Anyone ordering four titles or more will get free postage. My order will have to be in at the end of this month, as that's when the sale ends.

I have many of these up on eBay at the moment at higher prices because I bought them while more expensive. DVDs below cut... )

Also for sale, for those that are interested, I have 3 Chameleon Arch Fob-watches from the new series. The watch is plastic, the chain is metal, the sound/speech is loud. My mum now owns one of these.

I should be able to get more in, but at the moment I only have three for sale at $32.50 each. First come first served on the watches, so probably best to comment if you want one.

Comments here or email me on - dannydoz @ netspace dot net dot au - to make any orders

Further to my previous list of DVDs for sale, I now have the Complete Davros Collection in, which I'm selling for $130. First in first served, but if you miss out I can take orders.

It's got Genesis of the Daleks, Destiny of the Daleks, Resurrection of the Daleks, Revelation of the Daleks, and the Remembrance of the Daleks Special Edition, with previous effects mistakes fixed, a couple of new documentaries, and new 5,1 sound mix. Apparently early pressings of this had a brand new sound fault, but those have since been fixed.

It also has 8 Davros audio plays, one written for the collection. The titles are - Davros; The Juggernauts; Terror Firma; I, Davros - Innocence; I, Davros - Purity; I, Davros - Corruption; I, Davros - Guilt; and The Davros Mission.

On one hand, it's kind of annoying that they've released this set. On the other, I figure when I'm eventually left with one, I'll sell my copies of Resurrection, Revelation, and Remembrance second hand.

For those who already have most of the stories and don't want the collection, Destiny of the Daleks is getting a release too.

I was going to put these up on eBay, but decided instead to pop them up on here to see if anyone on my friend's list wanted them first. They are all brand new, still in sealed plastic.

All bolded DVDs are still for sale, unbolded means the one I have on hand has sold. If you see something you like that's gone, I can order it in for you, though can't say when Roadshow will supply it.

I used Swancon's celebration of 70 years of BBC Telefantasy as an excuse to order in lots of old stuff. It's basically all stuff that I myself want. I order in the things I don't have, and if it doesn't sell after a while, I get to keep it.

So far this has back-fired dreadfully, as you can tell by the huge list of Doctor Who DVDs for sale. It's amusing in a cruel sort of way...

I can also order any of the older Doctor Who DVDs that have been released, and am expecting the new Davros Box Set (Genesis, Destiny, Resurrection, Revelation, and Remembrance of the Daleks for $130.00) within the next week or two.

Postage is extra, of course.  All comments are screened.
