I've only ever had one accident, and it was with a parked car. My car - which was about 20 years old when I got it and I affectionately nicknamed the Tank - was fine. Nothing more than paint on my bumper bar.
The other car - brand new - had a huge gash down its side where I'd tried to be clever and turn/back out the opposite way than when I'd parked. I was so upset ... and I tell you what, the woman who drove it told me airily "Don't worry, cause it's my husband's car." A few weeks after while we were trying to get the insurance details sorted, I spoke to the husband...
Let's just say, I'm never being clever with a parked car again!
