The really dumb thing was that if they did want to do a space war story arc, allegorical or otherwise, it should have been with the Romulans, with said conflict causing the formation of the United Federation of Planets much as WW@ caused the UN creation. There also was too much soap opera & not enough space, it would be nice to see some wonders of the universe done with nifty GCI fx
