The assumptions people make about people in open relationships are odd. 1) that you are more likely to hit on them - when, of course, you are probably less likely to than the more numerous desperate and single, and you usually obviously have more alternative outlets for sexual desire than most. 2) that you won't respect their relationship rules - when you're probably in a relationship with a partner that trusts you to respect their rules completely, and have probably spent far longer talking about relationship rules than most. 3) that you are going to be less choosy - while people new to open relationships can sometimes get a bit overexcited, generally if you've been in an open relationship for a while it gets a bit the other way.
