I saw something in the paper yesterday about a released sex offender in the US having to wear a Tshirt in public saying "I am a convicted sex offender". The way I see it, you commit a crime, you get sentenced if you get caught you get out when you serve it and then live a normal life unless you offend again, I don't hold with this "your free but everyone's got to know you were a criminal", especially when it only applies to certain offences. Under these rules a real life Hannibal Lector with time off for good behaiviour could open a combination retirememnt home/restaurent!
