Assuming I'd be brave enough to ask you in person. My brain tends to cut me off early with a "don't annoy them, if they were interested, they'd say," most of the time.
One of the reasons I try to use only natural light is because then you know what lighting/shadowing you're going to get. Doesn't mean the photo will catch what your eye has seen, but it's a start. Interestingly, I'm better at self-portraits than I am at photographing other people. I know my body well enough to know what sort of pose will work in a shot that contains me, I'm still learning to do that with other people.
Oh and I take lots of pictures. I took 150 piccies over 4-5 hours at Lake Ballard. These are just the ones I liked enough to put up.
