Eucla is looking particularly lush. The whole area is alive with green and silver plants thanks to the rain a couple of months back. They got more than the whole month of January's rain in a single day, and had other rainy days on top of that. Explains the lack of roadkill - no need for the animals to hang around the gullies at the sides of the road to get the collected water.
Wandered around Eucla, ate some native berries and, to our suprise, didn't die at all. Saw a dead canvas glove spider and a dead lizard. The lizard had cool teeth.
There was a Hard Rock Cafe double-decker bus from Melbourne. If I'd known there was a local bus heading over, I wouldn't have bothered driving.
