I was going to make a similar comment along the lines of, people get the impression of a con being more heavily weighted one way or another by the guest selection. The natcons have for quite a while now been heavily weighted towards lit guests - sometimes having someone who magically crosses both media and lit circles.
I know that media guests can be more tricky to lock in (and the so-called professional cons have made them more expensive now too), but IMHO I really do think it's worth the effort to try to address that balance too.
