I think what you did was wonderful, and it's also great to see someone enjoying christmas for the best reasons - for the magic for the kids!!
All these thirty something adults grumping about how they hate Xmas, well get off you f*cking ass and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT instead of being whingey little sh*ts ruining it for every one they come in contact with.
If you hate the commercialisation, then make cookies and give them out! JUST SHUT UP AND STOP WHINGING ABOUT IT. They're all just whinging because Santa never made their lives perfect like they always hoped the right toys would. :-) Or their parents f*cked it up for them. Well, guess what people, when you're an adult you can't blame the parents for everything any more. Only YOU can make your life a good or bad one!
If you hate your family, lie, cheat, steal, or even TELL THE TRUTH and don't go. Just don't whinge about being excluded later! Don't whinge about everything, don't eat yourself sick, take care of yourself, and have a good time!
yay Christmas! I can't wait to have kids so I can work them into a frenzy and buy them heaps of presents.
We even had Santa visit us the other day too - he was in the back of a ute and was from the armadale lion's club, and it brings tears to my eyes how wonderful it was that there are people out there who do kind selfless things like that to make children's lives magic again. I think too many kids these days have too cynical parents, and they learn their cynicism too early. Life *is* magic, and Santa proves it every year. :-)
