If you're interested in British tv comedy - Brass Eye is a must have (only available on import.) People Like Us is available locally (David Tennant is one episode, as is Bill Nighy) as is the first season of Peep Show
HK Comedy - Shaolin Soccer but the HK dvd is hard to get nowadays - Kung Fu Hustle is much easier to find (every Hong Kong film fan needs at least one Stephen Chau film in their collection.
Horror - The Descent - unless you're claustrophobic.
SF - Primer should be in every serious SF fan's collection, I believe
