Well Rose and Perry's names were on the apology, so that one falls down to them regardless of whether they wrote it or not. Personally, not being asked if I wanted to apologise or write an apology first was the most annoying aspect for me. As an adult, I'd have like to have at least been shown the respect of being asked if I wanted to try to fix things.
I'd pretty much figured right at the beginning that the joke wasn't the only issue he'd had. His tweets during the masquerade showed that he was ready to explode well before we said anything to upset him. Then blaming the audience as well? No, I was pretty sure that was as much an excuse as anything. It's a shame he was having such a crappy time in general.
But the only thing close to a reason that he gave publically was us. So only thing to do was attempt to make that aspect of things right. As to me being put in that situation, *shrugs*, I'm more upset for the folks who became collateral damage i.e. the audience, and some of the tweeters who now feel bad about their part in it.
