The one attempt I tried at a meaningful meme died in the arse, and that was the one we came up with at Continuum. (It was the 3 things in 3 genres you think your friends should try. ANgriest and I did it and I never saw it again. It was supposed to spawn off huge lists of "Cool things to look at" for everyone)
