Yeah, I'm still shy around cons and other fandom events. I guess it's just too ingrained in some people.
I've actually come out of my shell a fair bit. When I was a kid I was extremely introverted, to the point that I actually wonder whether I was autistic or something. When I look back at how I was I just can't help thinking "That kid just ain't right."
