Well, I've been awake for a total of two hours since 9am. Managed the drive ok, but boy am I stuffed! I want to go and do stuff, but know I need to rest if I'm going to be able to do anything at the con, let alone drive safely there and back from where I'm staying in Altona.

Melbourne's cold! I've been spoilt by Canberra's summer. Today's the sort of day where I used to go to the beach - once it got to 18C I headed down to Sunnyside, stripped off and soaked up the rays - now I'm looking for my jumper and long pants!

Of course, I expect you all to forget I've said this when I'm going through my first Canberra winter *grin*

Oh well, going to see if I can manage my jog.

PS Still need rooms to crash in during the con as I have a total of none if I insist on not taking Pat up on his offer (con chair needs a safe place to hide). It's only for during the day unless someone actually wants a hairy little bastard in their room overnight at the con.

I tried to find a room to hang around in as well :P But all my friends who ARE goign ARENT staying :P (not at $150+ anight or something.. students cant afford that) meh!.... early tram in and lasst tram out for me... or even taxi...
taxi is STILL cheaper than staying.

I didn't even look at room prices, knowing that this year was going to be an expensive one, and knowing the hotel, I figured I wouldn't be able to afford it.

Mind you, I'm proud of myself for asking around for rooms to crash in. I have no problem offering, but always feel like a nuisance asking. But now, however tentatively, I'm able to ask. Another thing to thank my illness for *grin*

Worst case, I've got my mattress and bedding in the back of the car, I can just doss down in that overnight (prefer something darker and more private during the day).

Oh and I surivived my jog *just*

Thanks matey! I'm probably only going to part of the con, I'm only programmed for some of it and on the Sunday I'm meant to be doing the auction. Typically, most of what I'm working on is on the Sunday.

That said, I'm going to try to pull out of the debate, as I will struggle with 3 hours in a row - just can't do 4 in a row.

Are you going to the whole con? Or just a bit?
