A handful of pics from the trip. Some more interesting ones to follow! These pics cover the posts "To Southern Cross" & "To Kalgoorlie".

These are the sorts of roads I like to travel. It's the Road to Lake Ballard, which will be the subject of my next picture post.

Dunno, I'll chuck up some other shots of them after I get the rest of the trip pics up.

You'd love Madura, lots of old cars :)

Yeah! I'd definately be investing in a flatbed trailer! If I could upload pics on here I'd upload a pic of the 1929 Dodge Bros I have. It was found in not much better shape than the cars in your photo there. The only thing was it had a rear axle and wheels and it had doors. Everything else was gone.
Though NOW it has a 1975 Camaro front subframe and a 1973 Pontiac setup for the rear suspension and the engine is from a 1961 Pontiac! (Plus Volkswagen interior, I never imagined how WELL it all fits together! This car is made for LONG drives... when it is done.)
There's a guy in Texas who had found a 1937 Ford and sold it for $6000 US on Ebay. HEH, you could always beef up your transmission and start bringing a flatbed trailer on your trips. You never know, you might find something so rare you could make a years profit from it.
