Travel Plans

Okay, some quick and dirty dates for those who are interested... Actual days may vary depending on tiredness, good days, etc.

Thurs 30th Aug - Leave Canberra, probably get to Melbourne that night. May not make MSFC, hoping to catch people I've missed on some of the previous visits. Will see. May organise a group thing for Sunday or Monday. But Sunday is Father's Day/Writer's Festival... willing to take suggestions... Dance-card is already filling up and I need to build in rest-time.

Tues 4th Sept - Leave Melbourne, maybe stay at Ballarat if magnapops and kattilz will have me.

Wed 5th Sept - Arrive in Adelaide, throw myself on the mercy of the locals and try to arrange a group catch-up. Failing that there's always the return trip.

Thurs 6th Sept - Arrive at Iron Knob, because a dog called Gypsy likes to play and a pub needs the business.

Fri 7th Sept - Somewhere by the side of the road, I suspect.

Sat 8th Sept - Eucla!

Sun 9th Sept - Caiguna Blowhole, might build me a fire this time...

Mon 10th Sept - Aiming for hidden camping spot near Norseman.

Tues 11th Sept - Kalgoorlie, want to talk to Carmel at Questa Casa

Wed 12th Sept - Depends, may stop down Merredin way, or may head on and stop at Eadine Springs again...

Thurs 13th Sept - Perth, where I want to catch up with all manner of folks, partly by lobbing at different people's houses and wearing out my welcome.

Coming back my plans are simpler...

Tues 18th Sept - Leave Perth.

Sat 22nd Sept - Be in Eucla for my birthday. I'll have the room pre-booked :)

26th/27th-ish - Adelaide

Fri 28th Sept - Back for Conflux covered in dust and dirt, smelling of exhaust fumes, and looking for volunteers to bathe my weary body.

For any of the friends I hope to catch up with on this trip, no presents please. Anything given to me would just take up valuable space and may get damaged, so your present to me can be saving me the grief. The trip is my present to myself, and seeing people will be a big part of that.

You are very welcome to stay with us, unfortunately I am going on camp that week Mon 3rd to Wed 5th Sept. So I wont see you,
but Glen would like to catch up I am sure.
