Camped at Caiguna

Kelvin! At Balladonia! Actual proof! Seeing Kelvin really added a shine to this leg of the trip.

Love the two-tone grass.

Me writing what would end up being the Emotional Journey - Prelude post. Yes, I haven't finished the Emotional Journey post, in much the same way very few things are getting finished at the moment. This picture, and all that follow, were taken at my little camping spot 20km out of Norseman.

Emu poo! I love the texture and shine :)

Ready to leave at the end of three days... The tent was set up between the car and the fire.

I particular like the first pic , I just love the low light and shadows and the Belwood looks great as well.

Any photo with the Belwood is bound to turn out good :)

Thank you. I was thinking of these as just happy snaps, but I suppose there are a few good ones there.

Wow, the composition of the "emu poo" photo is awesome:
- the contrast between the red earth and the blue sky
- the sweeping curve of bits of emu-poo
- the placement of the foreground poo
- the shiny poo contrasting the grainy sand (and you got just the right amount of sand on the foreground poo)
- the narrow depth-of-field
- my surprise when i read the title :-)

Of this lot of photos, that's the one I'd most like to see a biiiig copy of in a gallery.

Glad you liked it :)

Unfortunately, my picture size is too small to blow that up (well) past A4. Which is why I want a camera with more than 4 megapixels.

No idea. That one was photographed about 200km out of Perth, if that helps. We have purple flowers everywhere up here at the moment, and I think those ones are Patterson's Curse.

Man, that's a wicked looking spider. It reminds me of one we see out here ALL OVER the place. Ours are harmless, it's coloring is a "Don't mess with me" bluff. Same shade of red body with a puss yellow abdomen. But they're pretty much harmless. How nasty are these little critters in that pic?
And love the birds! I love birds a lot. I have had them as friends and companions my whole life.

I have no idea how nasty. I'd never seen the breed before, so had to photograph it because of the bright colour. Had a few of them around where I camped.

It wasn't a bad spot for birds. That was what partially got me to stay after the first morning, lots of birds to wake up to.
