Various photos from the last few months beneath the cut

Mum, myself, and Sharon with our babies.

Sharon's dad with Lex

Auntie Gwen and Lex

Belwood with old church in background.

Sharon at sunset.

I love the look of the stone.

Art from Broken Hill.

We were at Parkes during routine maintenance, so I got to get this shot with someone walking on the dish.

Detail from previous pic.

And people said I would be the one arrested for public nudity. I call this one "Twenty-First Birthday Fodder!"

Twenty First Birthday Fodder

I have video from Japan that will, apparently, be a huge embarrassment for one young girl on her eighteenth!

Awww. That last photo almost needs a subtitle of "Whats that you are pointing at me, daddy?"

Ah, but the question is... were they playing cricket on the Dish?

Beautiful pictures :)

Great pics :)

Lex looks so wise , serious and hypnotic and I think he is going to break a few hearts when he gets to Kindy .

Beautiful photos! and, hooray, wrap sling! they are my favorite carriers :)

I love the wrap slings. Lex did his first panel at Conflux in a wrap sling. I was wearing him, he was asleep, I didn't see the point in waking him.

awww. I would love to see more of that at cons :) I went to a talk by the commissioner for ant discrimination the other day and one of her main points was that we (both men and women) need to make the important work of caring visible. She was speaking mostly about at work, but I can see the need for it at cons and other social spaces too.

I'd go along with that. It's not practical some of the time, I couldn't wear him during the auction, but I had him on during Magical Hat of Mystery for about half of it. When he woke up he was hungry and I passed him on to Shaz for feeding.

I know it's a generational thing, but I still can't get over the dads who never changed a bloody nappy! It's your child, why wouldn't you want to help in every aspect of caring for it?

What's the story behind the stone, there?
Have you ever considered signing up to Deviant Art to post photos, too? You could make a lot of friends... though it looks as though you have a lot as it is. Though you are an easy fellow to like.

Have you seen his cafepress store? I've had one of Danny's photo calendars up in my office at work each year for the last couple of years.

Broken Hill is a remote outback mining town that has a big art culture. On a hill overlooking the town is an art installation called the Sculpture Symposium, with twelve sculptures on it. That stone is probably the best known, it is called Bajo el Sol Jaguar by Antonio Nava Tirado, from Mexico.

Deviant Art is one of those things I've meant to get around to, I just haven't. I reckon you can never have too many friends, if only because of the good you can do just by being in someone's life now and again.

Thank you, I may be an easy guy to like (though I'm still never sure why) though I have to mention that I have a fair collection of people who hate my guts, some with good reason, most just because some people will always be arseholes.

It is comforting though, that most of the people who hate me, I think of as utter scum because of the way they treat others. If that sort of person dislikes me, I figure I must be doing something right :)

Lex is very cute, and these are lovely pictures all around, but I love the one with you in the middle cradling your Dalek-baby:)

From: [identity profile] logansrogue.livejournal.com

Oh, what a beautiful little baby! Lookit those eyes!! Gaw, just want to cuddle him and sing him sweet little songs!! (Never mind me, I'm drowning in my own reproductive hormones). Oh, I want one! *laughs* Lex is just getting cuter and cuter!

Next time we're in town, you can cuddle and sing to him. I sang him the old lullabies of 16 Tonnes and Minnie the Moocher just last night.

Lex can't help being cute, he takes after his old man.

Hehehe. Good, he'll like jazz then! :D

He most certainly does! ;D
