One must always remember to feed their baby, this much is obvious. But you also have to take into account the things a baby eats, so if you're breast-feeding you look after your diet, etc. Fair enough. What you probably didn't realise is, now and again they like to snack between meals. It's true!

Quite often they like the simple snack of a few hours. Not too many, just a couple. Those things you were going to do? Gone, because the baby just ate the time.

Not only that, but occasionally they get really hungry, and eat whole days! Sometimes several in a row...

Of course, one could say that there is no better way to spend that time.

One could. One could also say, "Arrrghh! I'm so behind on absolutely everything!"

I heartily agree. Five years on and I think I'm starting to catch up.

Of course you get to have a good reason for it. The rest of us just hang our heads in shame over our procrastination.

Good thing I don't have kids ,just with me at home during the day it takes me long enough to feed myself and the budgies .

Better keep Lex away from the tardis and the deloren.

When we had our registration at the birth centre, talking with a midwife, she was asking me questions and working through papers. As you'd expect. She got to one form, started at the top and said "Right. Now, are you going to feed the baby?"

I just looked at her blankly and said "You mean there's a choice?"

It turns out she meant breastfeeding, and she must have asked a couple of questions before that that were supposed to clue me in. But I've been lapsing into phases of total literalness lately, along with the vagueness, and just don't catch all the things I'm tossed. James was giggling quietly in the background. I think my literal moments amuse him, even though they're a pain for him sometimes. (Typically neither of us realise I've gone literal, and then I get grumpy because nothing he's saying is making any sense and I can't work out why.)
