I just saw the start of 
The American Astronaut. If the rest of the film is as good as the first thirteen minutes, I've found another gem!
It's like a young David Lynch saw Firefly, and thought, 'I'd like to do something like that, but in black and white, with no money, and as a musical.'

the rest of the film is better than the first 13 minutes. at some stage there are priestesses! and istr a cardboard box space ship! now i want to see it again!
