Baby cuddles! Some people love'em. Some people wouldn't touch a baby if it was covered in Super-Magic Wishing Powder
(TM).
Just so you know, Sharon and I are more than happy to have people* hold and cuddle Lex, but we won't generally ask someone if they'd like a hold, because it makes some folks feel pressured to do so.
So if you'd like a hold, just ask.
However, we do feel it necessary to warn you that he's at a biting** and pinching stage at the moment, so be prepared.
Oh, and I'm weening him of taking people's glasses. Every time he grabs mine, I grab his nose. It seems to have mostly worked. Now when he reaches for my glasses, and I reach for his nose, his little hand pauses -
- and then he grabs my nose!
* Scary Costume Guy's and Lameo's need not apply
** Lex has informed us that he now wishes to be called The Evil Doctor Quadchomp (TM), and that he will use his four teeth to destroy you utterly!

Occasionally it's all too much and he has to grab them. But it's fun watching the build-up to breaking point.

... and some clumsy types (i.e. me) worry that they'll Critical Fumble your baby and break him ;-)

And I don't know how many times I've heard parents talk about babies falling off change tables, rolling off the bed, etc. I've yet to hear anyone I know say bub got dropped and broke a limb, though it's obviously happened to some folks at some point.

There's only really one way to improve your baby handling skills. If you'd like to hold Lex when we're next down in Melbourne, go for it, don't let the clumsiness worry you.

Going to Canada instead (Actually it's 24 hours in Auckland, 4 days on Oahu, a few weeks in Canada and then 4 days in Munich. It was cheaper to get a round the world flight rather than a return flight to Montreal)

That is a cool trip!
Always wanted to visit Canada. I've only ever met one horrible Canadian, and it was like she was a vessel for the entire Canadian population's collective unpleasantness. Truly one of the most vile people I've ever had the misfortune to meet.
Given she lives over here, you should have nothing but lovely people to deal with. hope you guys have an awesome time!

I must remember the bit about the nose. J will go for the glasses whenever I am wearing them - nursing at night is only going to get more interesting as his range increases. Most often however, it is my hair, which is driving me nuts cos it hurts! And he's a strong little bugger too. I am very much looking forward to a haircut next week.

I figured since I hate having my nose touched, he may as well. "No," is all well and good, but at this age he generally laughs at it. But the nose thing, it's an instant distraction, and seems to have gotten the point home that this particular behaviour has a consequence he doesn't like.

My (rather long) hair is also falling out everywhere, because that's what happens when your pregnancy hormones dissipate at around 3 months. And trying to clean up and keep my own hair out of everything else has *also* driven me nuts!
