It would appear that while we were away, the storms in Canberra actually managed to flood my semi-underground lair, destroying around 75% of my comics collection! This is fantastic news!

Oh... wait...

Hmmm...

Well, on the bright side, I suppose I don't have to move them all now.

----------------------------
Late note - I should add I only saw the wet boxes from the outside, and haven't looked within. I might yet have only sustained minimal losses.

Oh what the fuck, also you think we australians would learn with all the flooding that goes on here >.<

What's in your colllection, do you want any of it replaced?

wow, that really sucks.. but look on the bright side, you can now say to people "Sure, I had that ultra-rare comic but it got destroyed in the great flood of 2010". No -one will ever be able to disprove your story!

You know it would be nice if you caught a lucky break every now and then.

Argh. Good of you to see the bright side. It's been a rotten week in so many ways, and I think you've been pretty darned admirable throughout the aftermath. I send you love and hugs, and maybe later some comics.

As a fellow bibliophile, if not a comicsphile, you have my heartfelt sympathy.

As I tweeted - I'll send you a list of what I have, and you can let me know what you're interested in. So sorry to hear this, Danny. Are you up for a visit this week?

Dear universe: kindly stop raining on Danny's parade, RFN.

I am personally offended by this flood. I no longer feel safe in weather. I demand an apology from God.

"Well, on the bright side, I suppose I don't have to move them all now."

Well you still have to move them, but now you can use a pitch fork.

Sorry to hear it, Danny. Requesting a list of what you lost, I'm sure I'll have at least some of them in that collection of mine I haven't even looked at for years.

Damn... I am so sorry hear that. Hopefully that which you wish to recover can be found with relative ease :(

I was going to add my own, man that sucks sentiment, but you don't seem to need it :) Still, I kind of wish I did used to read comics just so I could now pass some on to you, and declutter my house further. What other crap has the week served up to you? (I'm behind on LJ and other things)

Man, that sucks.
I can't begin to imagine how that feels.

Hopefully, you haven't lost too much.

Finger crossed all of you Image comics #1 issues are OK because they are going to be worth a fortune.
