It would appear that while we were away, the storms in Canberra actually managed to flood my semi-underground lair, destroying around 75% of my comics collection! This is fantastic news!

Oh... wait...

Hmmm...

Well, on the bright side, I suppose I don't have to move them all now.

Late note - I should add I only saw the wet boxes from the outside, and haven't looked within. I might yet have only sustained minimal losses.

I had a stroke 4 1/2 years ago and can still walk and talk.

I have 2 fit and healthy children, and a wonderful wife.

I got to work for a little while on an animated series of Doctor Who for BBC Wales R&D, and I've had 3 DW short stories published.

I have a very large group of very supportive friends across Australia who wouldn't hesitate to help me out in almost any situation.

I think I've had a *lot* of lucky breaks :D

Can't argue with that.

I also don't want to argue with that. :)

That's pretty much my perspective. I'm alive, warm, safe and fed. Everything else is gravy.

Yup!

Plus, I had a look around WorldCon. I was far and away the prettiest person there!
