This is long, but worth it. Watching from overseas, it looks like the American media do nothing but help make excuses for Bush, so it was nice to see someone with some balls.

I was genuinely moved by this man's passion.

I've been watching Olbermann's commentaries for a while now. He's doing for the naugthies what Ed Murrow did for the 50s and good on him for that.

I was watching it thinking that this was so much like Good Night and Good Luck, and then he signed off that way. What a brilliant, angry and truthful piece of political comment. This was awesome.

In case you don't know his background, he was a local sportscaster in LA before becoming a high profile co-host at ESPN's SportsCenter, which he left under acromonious circumstances. He wanted a wider scope and luckily for all of us, MSNBC gave it to him.
