Went to the dentist today so we could find out what was to be happening with my dodgy wisdom teeth. He had a look at the x-rays, had a look at the teeth, especially the bad lower right one.

Those tooths are not long for my gob! They are to be removed. All at once. With a brief (maybe afternoon, maybe longer) stay in hospital.

And a bill of $2500!

If anyone wants me, I'll be in the garage with a pair of pliers... *grin*

I had mine out whilst I was conscious. I don't recommend it!

Also do everything they tell you to...seriously. I probably ate something too soon after the surgery and "lost the clot", got myself a bone infection and that was Not Fun. At all.

Good luck!

Ewwwww!

I had mine done under a general. My dentist took one look at the x-rays of my horizontal wisdom teeth and refused point blank to go anywhere near them.

I do second Leece's comments about following the instructions, even (shudders) the salt water gargles.

Hope all goes well!

I think you need a saner dentist. :)

Look, general anaesthetics were invented for a reason...

Oh I AGREE!

Mind you, $50 a toof wasn't bad. The nitrous oxide *almost* helped!
