Okay, I'm starting a sweep.

To be in it, pick the day and hour you think Lex will be born, and reply with it in comments. You can't pick the same day and time that somebody else has put down.

Nearest correct answer will get naming rights be sent a chocolate cigar. Said chocolate cigar may even taste okay, but no promises as I haven't received them yet.

Hmm... decisions, decisions:-)

Well, I'm pretty sure Lex will arrive before Cygnet:-)

I'm going to say the 28th—and it'll be by the time I get home from my appointment that day... so given the time difference (it is two hours?) I'm saying around 1pm:-)

I'm going to go for the 25th of August.. 11am.

Monday 25th August 1am Canberra time...

I went to visit a friend today who has a 3month old, he thought my hair was the greatest thing in the world to eat and apparently I am also comfy to sleep on. New people are funny.

I say TODAY!

Good luck. ^___^

(I sent you an LJ PM, but please don't worry about it until your current situation is resolved, it's relatively unimportant and trivial).

You might want to pick a time for today... No reason... nope...

RE: query - I get to return them and get my money back, so if I sell them I need to aim to cover cost, which would be about $30 each. Have black and gold that I haven't returned. Let me know if you're interested. Cheers :)

From: [identity profile] drjon.livejournal.com

Oh, sorry, didn't notice the time thing. Um, let's say 8pm.

($30 plus postage? Sounds good. When you get a chance to scratch after racing Shaz to the hosptial this arvo, holding her hand for hours, coming home in the wee hours to do all sorts of getting-ready things, having a nice sleep -- your last for a very long time, I might add -- and going back out to see Shaz and Lex tomorrow morning, you can let me know how much the total will be and what your PayPal is. I'll send it to you, then you can pack it up and send it out in a few weeks, which will be the next time you have a chance to scratch. So Mote It Be. ;}P> )

Oh, just in case I was clear in my mind, not in the above reply, the $30 covers only one defective RC dalek, not a pair.

Though naturally if you still wanted one, I'd pick one that was mostly operational i.e. try to find one where it can move but not shoot.

From: [identity profile] drjon.livejournal.com

Ah, bugger. Oh well, thanks anyway! I appreciate the offer, even if I can't really justify the cost.

From: [identity profile] dalekboy.livejournal.com

Yeah, sorry matey. The box sets have come down in price from their original $75 cost price to me because they are a discontinued line, and they tend not to sell because of all the issues. Basically, I'm the only one silly enough to bother testing them all :)

But if you look about online, you can sometimes find them dirt cheap. I picked up my one and only Cyber Leader when I saw a battlepack online where the total cost to me would be $50 including postage from the US. Cheaper than my cost price.

Saturday 23 August at 4:00PM.

But I'm hoping the lazy beggar will get a move on before that. :)

August 26, 3 am (because babies always wait for the most inconvenient times)

Hope whenever it occurs that the event is smooth and trouble-free!

Dinnertime today, say, 7pm?

I was all optimistic with my SMS as well, even though I knew the kid was hanging back...

August 27, 4am.

(Which I believe is the exact time and date my sister was born)

26th, 11pm.

Does the OB have a limit on how long they'll let you go?

From: [identity profile] dalekboy.livejournal.com

In theory you don't want to go more than two weeks past the due date, because apparently the functions less well the further past you go. So if Lex is still inside in another week and a bit, they may suggest inducing labour.

The 23rd at 5:00am sounds about right! It would be illuminating?

From: [identity profile] mireille21.livejournal.com

Ah, you bugger.

OK, then I'm going to go for Sat 23rd, at 11:42am.

Friday 29th, 4.30pm.

Because then he'll have made me us impatient for the longest time possible while still being born as I'm on the bus home from work and therefore in the situation where it would be most embarrassing for me to squeal out loud.

[livejournal.com profile] cumbernotathome guesses Thursday 28th, 4.00am.

1st of September 2:00am is my guess and Ken seems to think that the baby is going to turn up tomorrow at 10:35pm .
