the algorithm isn't factually based.. it's "we know there's roughly X people named Smith in the US. We know they are roughly Y people named john. How many John Smiths in the population? then round it off. It probably underestimates the occurance of the name, because you won't get many Bartholemew Husseins, etc.

According to the link you won't get any Bartholomew Husseins. They've got plenty of Husseins but the name Bartholomew isn't on their list at all.

They do have Bart, however, but they still don't even have any Bart Husseins:

"While both names you entered were found in our database, neither was common enough to make it likely that someone in the U.S. has that name."

Damn. I was hoping there'd be 0.85 Bart Husseins.
